Late registration is now open by mail only (registration deadline was November 5, 2007)

Prior to sending in your registration form, please email the following information to info@ftll.org to confirm availability

Instructions for registering :

  1. Print out a copy of the registration and code of conduct form

  2. You must complete and sign both forms for each player that's being registered

  3. Read the information below for important information on registering

  4. New players to FTLL need to include copies of a birth certificate and three (3) documents showing proof of residence (see list below)

  5. Include registration fee with all other documentation and mail to the address below

  6. For those adults that would like to volunteer to manage, coach or assist in anyway where you will be interacting with players, you need to fill out a volunteer form and submit to a background check process (see information at bottom of page for more detail)

Volunteer forms for Manager/Coaches need to be sent in by Nov. 5th.  

 * Registration open to players born between 5/1/91 & 4/31/01 – NO exceptions *
Children born after 4/31/01 may be eligible to register for the Twp. Rec. Dept. T-Ball Program – contact them directly
 

F IMPORTANT notes regarding registration for the 2008 season:

We appreciate your help in registering early so that we will have adequate time to properly prepare for the coming season. This will help us to provide your child with the best possible playing experience. Due to the growth of our league, the player draft will be held this December. So please register by mail or in person on the above dates. Any registrations postmarked after November 5th are subject to a $25 late fee per registrant – NO exceptions.

New Players: Copies of a birth certificate and three (3) documents from the below categories showing Freehold Township residence are required for mail or in-person registration for all new Little League players. Due to more stringent Little League eligibility guidelines we cannot accept any registrations without the proper documentation. Please note that the Freehold Twp. Recreation T-Ball program is a separate program from Little League. If your child has played only in that program they are considered a new player to the FTLL & require the above noted documentation.

 The Spring Registration and Code of Conduct Form must be filled out and signed before sending in.  The Code of Conduct form must be signed by both parent/guardian and player.

Important: Prospective managers & coaches MUST complete volunteer forms & submit to a background check

If you plan to manage, coach, or assist in a way where you work directly with the players, you MUST submit to a background check, which includes scheduling an appointment to be fingerprinted and fill out a volunteer form.  The volunteer form must be filled out each season you plan to manage or coach.  The background check process must be done every 3 years.

 The Volunteer Form must be filled out and submitted to Freehold Township Little League via US Mail to the address listed on the FTLL Home Page.  You MUST provide a copy of a valid government issued photo id along with the Volunteer form.

Follow these steps to go through the background check process

  1. Fill out a copy of the Background Check Form (click here for a copy of the form).  Read and follow the instructions on the background check form when filling out
  2. Make an appointment with Sagem Morpho, Inc. to arrange for fingerprinting.  Go to www.bioapplicant.com/nj and follow the instructions on the website under New Applicants (Click the Start Here button at the bottom of the page to start the process)
    1. When filling out the information on the website, use the information from boxes 1-8 on the above mentioned background check form
    2. You will have to pay for the appointment when it is scheduled.  Once you have been fingerprinting you will receive a receipt which you can submit to FTLL for reimbursement
  3. Remember to bring you filled out background check form to the fingerprinting appointment
  4. Once you have been fingerprinted, it will take 1-2 weeks for the process to be completed.  Only accepted background checks will be returned to the Freehold Township Recreation Department.  The FTLL League Secretary will then be notified of those that have passed the background check process.  The FTLL League Secretary will in turn notify those that have passed and provide further instructions on how to obtain an ID badge.  This badge must be worn at all times during games AND practices

    IMPORTANT NOTES on background checks:
  • The background check form is to be turned into Sagem Morpho when you go to get fingerprinted.  It is NOT to be turned into FTLL with the volunteer form
  • If we receive a volunteer form from you, it's assumed that you will setup an appointment to be fingerprinted or already have a current ID card that's not older than 3 years
  • If you've undergone a background check and received an ID card in Freehold Township within the last 2 years then you do not need to go through this process this year. Please include a copy of your ID card with your registration form
  • You will need to pay for the fingerprinting, but be sure to get a receipt to submit to FTLL so that you can be reimbursed
  • BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR ID BADGE DURING ALL GAMES AND PRACTICES
  • If you fail the background check, you will be notified directly by the NJ State Police.  The Freehold Township Recreation Department nor the Freehold Township Little League will receive notification of those that have failed a background check
