The Freehold Twp. Little League is honored to host the Junior League Eastern Regional Tournament for it's 7th straight year. State Champions from Maine to Maryland will participate in the double elimination tournament with the dream of earning a berth to the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan. In addition to the Regional's, Freehold Twp. LL will be hosting the NJ State Championships from July 29-Aug. 2.

The tournament will kick-off with a Champion Recognition Banquet for the teams & guests on Friday, August 5 at 6:00 PM. The opening ceremony & parade of teams will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 9 AM. The games will be held daily at Michael J. Tighe Park (formerly Liberty Oak Park) Field #7 in Freehold, NJ on Saturday thru Monday: 10 AM, 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM; Tuesday: 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM; Wednesday: 4 PM & 7 PM; & Thursday: 11 AM & 2 PM (if necessary).

Teams will receive information packets regarding the tournament, official hotels (room blocks & discounted rates), and the banquet. Parents are encouraged to contact their team representative to obtain information on the discounted room blocks & the banquet.

2011 State Champions & Host

Connecticut:   Burlington LL, Burlington CT (6-1)

Burlington LL returns to the Regional's for their second straight year. They are the only Burlington LL team to win back to back State Titles. The Connecticut State Champs will play their first game against the District 19 Host Champs from Freehold Twp. LL on August 6 at 1 PM.

Delaware:  Brandywine LL,  Wilmington DE (6-0)

Brandywine LL won the State Title in dramatic fashion with a walk-off double to secure the win. T
he undefeated, Delaware State Champs will play their first game against the Bangor East/West LL, the Maine State Champs on August 6 at 4 PM.

Maine: Bangor East/West LL, Bangor ME (7-1)

Bangor East/West LL will be making it's 6th consecutive visit to the Regional's and 7th visit since 2001. The Maine State Champs went undefeated in the State Tournament and will play their first game against Brandywine LL, the Delaware State Champs on August 6 at 4 PM.

Maryland: South Maryland LL,  Davidsonville MD (7-0)

This is South Maryland LL's first State Championship at any age level. The Maryland State Champs went undefeated in tournament play and clinched the state title with a 1-0 victory. They will play their first game against the last years Regional Finalist's from Johnston LL, the Rhode Island State Champs in the nightcap on August 6 at 7 PM.

Massachusetts: Quincy Youth Baseball LL, Quincy MA (8-0)

Quincy Youth Baseball LL will make their second visit to the Regional's after going undefeated in tournament play. The Massachusetts State Champs will play the winner of the New York / New Jersey game in the nightcap at 7 PM on August 7.

New Jersey: North Wall LL, Wall NJ  (9-1)

North Wall advances to the Regional Tournament after going undefeated in the State Tournament. Their potent offense shortened all 3 State games by the 10 run rule. This is North Wall's second consecutive appearance in the Regional's and 3rd in the last 4 years. The New Jersey State Champs will play Stony Point LL, the New York State Champs in the tournament opener on August 6 at 10 AM.

NJ District 19 Host: Freehold Twp. LL, Freehold NJ (4-1)

Freehold Twp. LL makes it's forth consecutive appearance in the Regional's. After winning their first 3 district games, the team battled through 3 very close games against Middletown to capture the District 19 Championship. Last years Regional Champions will play the Connecticut State Champs at 1 PM on August 6.

New York: Stony Point LL, Stony Point NY (11-0)

Stony Point LL went undefeated throughout tournament play. The team prides themselves on pitching depth, strong defense & timely hitting. The New York State Champs will play North Wall LL, the New Jersey State Champs in the tournament opener at 10 AM on August 6.

Pennsylvania: Pennridge LL,  Perkasie PA (12-0)

This is Pennridge LL's first State Championship at any age level. The Pennsylvania State Champs went undefeated in tournament play outscoring their opponents 116-15. They will play the Connecticut / District 19 Champs winner in their first game on August 7 at 4 PM.

Rhode Island: Johnston LL,  Johnston RI (6-0)

Johnston LL returns to the Regional's for their second straight year. The 2010 Regional finalists went undefeated in tournament play.The Rhode Island State Champs will play their first game against the South Maryland LL, the Maryland State Champs in the nightcap at 7 PM on August 6.
