The Freehold Twp. Little League is honored to host the Junior League Eastern Regional Tournament for it's 9th straight year. State Champions from Maine to Maryland will participate in the double elimination tournament with the dream of earning a berth to the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.

The tournament will kick-off with a Champion Recognition Banquet for the teams & guests on Friday, August 2 at 6:00 PM. The opening ceremony & parade of teams will be held on Saturday, August 3 at 9 AM. The games will be held daily at Michael J. Tighe Park (formerly Liberty Oak Park) Field #7 in Freehold, NJ on Saturday thru Monday: 10 AM, 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM; Tuesday: 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM; Wednesday: 4 PM & 7 PM; & Thursday: 10 AM & 1 PM (if necessary).

Teams will receive information packets regarding the tournament, official hotels (room blocks & discounted rates), and the banquet. Parents are encouraged to contact their team representative to obtain information on the discounted room blocks & the banquet.

2013 State Champions & Host
Congratulations to NY - Massapequa International LL - 2013 JLER Champions

Connecticut:  Tolland LL - Tolland, CT (7-0)

 The Connecticut State Champs will play their first game against the winner of the Massachussetts/District 19 Host game on August 4 at 7 PM.

Delaware:  M.O.T. LL, Middletown-Odessa-Townsend, DE (8-1)

The Delaware State Champs will play their first game against the winner of the New Jersey/Main game on August 4 at 4 PM.

Maine: Hampden-Newburgh LL, Hampden ME (7-1)

Hampden-Newburgh LL will make it's first visit to the JLER. They went undefeated in districts until losing the winner's bracket game to the perenial state champs from Bangor and came back to capture the final victory. They went undefeated in the state tournament to capture the state title keeping their opponents to an average of 3 hits per game. The Maine State Champs will play  in the tournament opener against the New Jersey State Champs on August 3 at 10 AM.

Maryland: Home Run Baker/Easton LL, Talbot County/Easton MD (6-0)

The Maryland State Champs will play their first game against the New York Champs on August 3 at 7 PM.

Massachusetts: Quincy Youth Baseball LL, Quincy MA (10-0)

Quincy Youth Baseball Little League will return to the JLER in 2013 going undefeated & outscoring their opponents 120-23 to capture their state crown. Quincy's last visit to the JLER was in 2011 and this marks their 3rd visit in the last 5 years. The Massachusetts State Champs will play their first game against the NJ District 19 Host Champs at 1 PM on August 3.

New Jersey: Manchester-Lakehurst LL - Manchester Township, NJ  (11-2)

Manchester LL bounced back to overcome losses in the District & States to capture the State title. This is Manchester LL's first visit to the JLER. The New Jersey State Champs will play n the tournament opener vs. the Maine State Champs at 10 AM on August 3.

NJ District 19 Host:  Freehold Twp. LL, Freehold NJ (5-0)

Freehold Twp. LL makes it's sixth consecutive appearance in the Regional's. They outscored their oppenents 56-3 with 3 of the 4  games ending after 5 innings enroute to the District 19 title. The NJ District 19 Host Champions will play the Massachussetts State Champs at 1 PM on August 3.

New York: Massapequa International Little League, Massapequa NY (10-1)

Massapequa International LL came out of the losers bracket to win the New York State Championship. They won the last 5 games played, going 6-1 at the States winning 4 games in the last 2 days of the State Tournament. This is their second visit to the JLER. The New York State Champs will play Maryland State Champs in the nightcap at 7 PM on August 3.

Pennsylvania: Dubois LL - Dubois, PA (12-0)

DuBois LL went undefeated during District, Sectional and State Tournament play to win the PA State Championship.  This marks the sixth time the DuBois has won the PA State Title. Most recently, advancing to play in the Eastern Regional Tournament in 2002 and 2006. The Pennsylvania State Champs will play the Rhode Island State Champs on August 3 at 4 PM.

Rhode Island: Elmwood LL - Providence, RI (6-0)

The Elmwood LL captured their second state title in it's 63 year history by sweeping through the District & State Championships. They will play their first game against the Pennsylvania State Champs at 4 PM on August 3.
