The Freehold Twp. Little League is honored to host the Junior League Eastern Regional Tournament for it's 11th straight year. State Champions from Maine to Maryland will participate in the double elimination tournament with the dream of earning a berth to the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.
This year the tournament will kick-off with
4 games on Friday August 7. A Champion Recognition Banquet for the teams &
guests will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 6:00 PM. The Parade of Champions will be
held on Saturday, August 8 at 9 AM. The games will be held daily at Michael J. Tighe Park (formerly Liberty Oak Park)
Field #7 in Freehold, NJ on Fri, 8/7, Sat 8/8 & Sun 8/9: 10 AM, 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM;
Monday 8/10: 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM; Tuesday 8/11: 4 PM & 7 PM; &
Wednesday 8/12: 10 AM Championship & 1 PM (if necessary).
Teams will receive information packets regarding the tournament, official hotels (room blocks & discounted rates), and the banquet. Parents are encouraged to contact their team representative to obtain information on the discounted room blocks & the banquet.

Connecticut: Edgewood LL, Edgewood CT (9-1) [State Bracket]
Edgewoord LL will make their first JLER appearance after sweeping the State tournament and capturing the CT State title. The Connecticut State Champs will play their first game against the Delaware State Champs in the tournament opener on Thursday, July 31 at 4 PM.
Newark National LL, Newark DE (7-1) [State
The Delaware State Champs will play their first game against the Connecticut State Champs in the tournament opener on Thursday, July 31 at 4 PM.
Down East Family YMCA
LL, Ellsworth ME (5-2)
Down East Family YMCA Little League became the first 3rd seed team to emerge as the State Champion. Ellsworth defeated the second & first place seeds by a combined score of 18-6. This is the first State Championship and advancement to the regionals for the Down East YMCA team. The Maine State Champs will play their first game on Saturday, August 2 at 4 PM vs. the CT/DE winner.
Maryland: Waldorf LL, Waldorf MD (4-0) [State Bracket]
Waldorf went 4-0 in the State tournament outscoring their opponents 60-7 enroute to the State title. Their last visit to the JLER was in 1986, where they went on to win the Junior League World Series. The Maryland State Champs will play their first game against the New Jersey State Champs on Friday, August 1 at 1 PM.
Quincy Youth Baseball LL, Quincy MA (11-0)
Quincy Youth Baseball Little League returns for the second consecutive year & their 4th visit in the last 6 years. They went undefeated & outscored their opponents 141-26 to capture their state crown. The Massachusetts State Champs will play their first game against the NJ District 19 Host Champs at 10 AM on Friday, August 1.
The New Jersey State Champs will play their first game against the Maryland State Champs at 1 PM on Friday, August 1.
NJ District 19 Host: Freehold Twp. LL, Freehold NJ (4-0) [District Championship Bracket]
Freehold Twp. LL makes it's 7th consecutive appearance in the Regional's. They outscored their oppenents 31-11 enroute to the District 19 title.The NJ District 19 Host Champions will play the Massachussetts State Champs at 10 AM on Friday, August 1.
New York: Haverstraw LL, Haverstraw NY (13-2) [State Bracket]
Haverstraw LL defeated a long standing rival Stony Point in their District championship game, then Hyde Park to win Sections. They went 5-1 in the State tournament defeating Highland 14-2 in the final game. During the tournament run the team had to bounce back to win 3 straight must win games to capture the District & State banners. This is Haverstraw's first visit to the JLER & they look forward to representing their town & state. The New York State Champs will play the Pennsylvania State Champs in the nightcap at 7 PM on Thursday, July 31.
Pennsylvania: North Allegheny LL - PA (8-0) [State Bracket]
North Allegheny LL went undefeated in their first year of Junior play to capture the State title. This is the first JLER appearance in this leagues 4 year old history. The Pennsylvania State Champs will play the New York State Champs in the nightcap at 7 PM on Thursday, July 31.
Rhode Island: Barrington LL - Barrington, RI (9-2) [State Bracket]
This is Barrington LL's last visit to the JLER was in 2007. This year they took the long route to NJ by battling through the loser's bracket twice in the District and State tournaments. The Rhode Island State Champs will play their first game at 7 PM on Saturday, August 2 against the NY/PA winner.
