The Freehold Twp. Little League is honored to host the Junior League Eastern Regional Tournament for it's 6th straight year. State Champions from Maine to Maryland will participate in the double elimination tournament with the dream of earning a berth to the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.

The tournament will kick-off with a Champion Recognition Banquet for the teams & guests on Friday, August 6 at 6:00 PM. The opening ceremony & parade of teams will be held on Saturday, August 7 at 9 AM. The games will be held daily at Michael J. Tighe Park (formerly Liberty Oak Park) Field #7 in Freehold, NJ on Saturday thru Monday: 10 AM, 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM; Tuesday: 1 PM, 4 PM & 7 PM; Wednesday: 4 PM & 7 PM; & Thursday: 11 AM & 2 PM (if necessary).

Teams will receive information packets regarding the tournament, official hotels (room blocks & discounted rates), and the banquet. Parents are encouraged to contact their team representative to obtain information on the discounted room blocks & the banquet.

2010 State Champions & Host

Connecticut:   Burlington LL, CT (8-0)

The Burlington CT Bulldogs had a combined record of 8-0 from tournament play through states. They scored 66 runs while giving up 15 runs. This is the first appearance in a regional tournament for any Burlington CT team. The Connecticut State Champs will play their first game against the Delaware State Champs on August 7 in the Tournament opener at 10 AM.

Delaware:  Dover LL, Dover DE (7-1)

Dover LL went undefeated in District play including 2 wins against last years state champions from Camden-Wyoming. After losing the first game in the State tourney, the DE State champs bounced back to win 3 in a row including the nail-biting finals which took 10 innings to clinch the 5-4 state crown. T
he Delaware State Champs will play their first game against the Connecticut State Champs on August 7 in the Tournament opener at 10 AM.

Maine: Bangor Westside/East LL, Bangor ME (7-0)

After going undefeated in Tournament play, Bangor Westside/East LL will be making it's fifth consecutive trip to the Regional's & seventh since 2001. The Maine State Champs will play the winner of the District 19 Host/Maryland game on August 8 at 4 PM.

Maryland: Home Run Baker/Easton LL, Talbot County MD (9-1)

After going undefeated in Districts, Talbot lost the first State tournament game before bouncing back to win 5 in a row enroute to the State crown. The team used 8 pitchers to mount the comeback. The Maryland State Champs will play their first game against the District 19 Host Champs from Freehold Twp. LL on August 7 at 1 PM.

Massachusetts: Stoneham LL, Stoneham MA (10-1)

Stoneham LL will make it's first appearance in the Regional's after winning their state championship by outscoring their opponents 116-29 over 11 games. The Massachusetts State Champs will play the New York State Champs in the nightcap at 7 PM on August 7.

New Jersey: North Wall LL, Wall NJ  (10-2)

North Wall advances to the regional tournament with a 10-2 record after battling through a tough sectional and state tournament bracket. It is North Wall's second appearance in the Jr. Baseball Tournament in the last 3 years. The New Jersey State Champs will play the winner of the Connecticut/Delaware game on August 8 at 7 PM.

NJ District 19 Host: Freehold Twp. LL, Freehold NJ (4-0)

Freehold Twp. LL makes it's third consecutive appearance in the Regional's after winning all 4 games by a margin of 47-11 to capture the District 19 Championship. Last years Regional runner-up will play the Maryland State Champs at 1 PM on August 7.

New York: Floral Park LL (10-1)

Floral Park went 7-0 throughout the Districts & Sections enroute to the State crown. The New York State Champs will play the Massachusetts State Champs in the nightcap at 7 PM on August 7.

Pennsylvania: Montoursville LL, Montoursville PA (11-0)

Montoursville went undefeated in tournament play outscoring their opponents 149-42 on the way to the State championship. The Pennsylvania State Champs will play their first game on August 7 against the Rhode Island State Champs.

Rhode Island: Johnston LL, Johnston RI (6-0)

Johnston LL outscored their opponents 62-15 during tournament play and returns to the Regional's for the 5th time in the last 8 years. The Rhode Island State Champs will play their first game against the Pennsylvania State Champs on August 7.
