Registration for the 2020 Fall Season is open

(Any registrations received or paid for after August 29, 2020 are subject to a $20 late fee & availability)

Interest has been confirmed for Baseball T-Ball thru Intermediate Divisions & players can now pay for the season. For BB Seniors, we are short a few players so please encourage your friends to register to a 'Wait List' until we can confirm that we have enough players.

The confirmed interest for Softball is low in the FTLL & the few leagues offering Fall SB. Players registered on the Wait List to-date will be receiving an email with options.

To register just click on the Register button on the Home page.

Our goal is to offer the members of our program an opportunity to get back on the field this Fall. To accomplish this in a safe & fun manner, there will be additional protocols in place as part of our Return to Play Plan that must be followed by our players & volunteers. We encourage all to review it before registering.

A few important things to keep in mind about this Fall season

1. The state is currently allowing youth team sports to be played. Should this change during the season, we will need to observe the state guidance. Any refunds will be given as a pro-rated credit for a future season.

2. The protocols seek to provide a safe playing environment and must be followed by all. In the event a health situation arises for a member of the program, the guidance of health professionals will prevail which may include the mandatory pause in a play for a team or individual(s).

3. During the registration process an additional Covid-19 waiver must be accepted to register for this season.

4. Under the current circumstances it is difficult to determine interest in the program. All initial registrations will place players on a ‘waitlist’ and fees will not be collected. Please register early to help us determine the interest level. Once we can confirm the interest for each division, we will request that registered players settle their fees. The league reserves the right to adjust/eliminate divisions if we do not get the required registrants to fill out the program

Registration for Baseball & Softball will only be accepted through the FTLL site. Any questions should be directed to FTLL.
Please do not contact the FT Recreation Department regarding the FTLL programs.

Registration is open to Freehold Township residents, anyone attending school in Freehold Twp., or Freehold Boro residents - who are born between the following dates - NO exceptions:

> Softball: 1/1/2004 & 12/31/2016. SB Age Determination Date for ALL players is 12/31/20.

The Fall 2020 Season will be divided into the following age groups based on Child's Little League age for 2021

5-6: Rookies Fall Ball
Baseball: 9/1/2014-8/31/2016 | Softball:1/1/2014-12/31/2015
This age group for Baseball & Softball Rookie / T-Ball will follow the LLB Tee-ball program with skills development & mini-games.

7-8: Pioneers Fall Ball
Baseball: 9/1/2012-8/31/2014 | Softball: 1/1/2012-12/31/2013
This age group will play regular games with a combination of coaches and players pitching, with a focus on preparing players for the move into the Pioneer division for baseball and softball that they will be eligible for in the 2021 spring season. The goal of this level is to help players develop the proper fundamentals at an early age so that they may gain more enjoyment as they play and progress in later years. The softball division may include a few inter-league games against other local towns, only as required based on the number of teams we have within FTLL.

9-10: Minors Fall Ball
Baseball: 9/1/2010-8/31/2013 | Softball: 1/1/2010-12/31/2011
This age group will play regular games with children pitching and real baseball/softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc). The focus for this group will be to prepare players for the move into the Minors baseball and softball divisions for the 2021 spring season. The softball division may include a few inter-league games against other local towns, only as required based on the number of teams we have within FTLL.

11-12: Majors Fall Softball
Softball: 1/1/2008-12/31/2009

This age group will play with Little League Majors division softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc.) and will focus on preparing players for the Majors (softball) division for the 2021 Spring season. The softball division may include a few inter league games against other local towns, only as required based on the number of teams we have within FTLL.

11-13: Intermediate Fall Baseball
Baseball: 9/1/2007-8/31/2010
This age group will play with Little League Intermediate division baseball rules (balls and strikes called, leads, stealing, etc.) on a 70' diamond. This is a great introduction for those players who are moving up from the smaller field but are not ready to move to the regulation (Seniors / 90’) field. Inter-league games against other towns - some travel to other towns (within Monmouth County) for games will be required. Games will be limited to weeknights only.

13-16: Seniors Fall Baseball
Baseball: 9/1/2004-8/31/2008
Games are played on the 90' diamond. This is a great introduction for those players who are moving up from the smaller field. Inter-league games against other towns - some travel to other towns (within Monmouth County) for games will be required.

13-16: Seniors Fall Softball
Softball: 1/1/2004-12/31/2007
This age group will play games against other Freehold Township teams and may include inter-league games against other towns within or near Monmouth County.  Games will be played with Seniors division softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc.) and will focus on preparing players for the Seniors divisions for the 2021 Spring season.

NOTE: While this level will be competitive, this is not a travel softball program, and focus is still primarily instructional to help prepare for the 2021 season.

NOTE: Age groupings may be changed based on this year’s registration enrollment.

The fall baseball and softball season will run during September and October.

Games will likely be held twice per week, with games on Saturdays and a weeknight game. Unless noted otherwise.
