FTLL FALL BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN !!!

To Register, click on the REGISTER button on the FTLL Home Page (https://www.ftll.org) and login to your account (or if new to the program, create an account!).

Registration for Baseball & Softball will only be accepted through the FTLL site. Any questions should be directed to [email protected] Please do not contact the FT Recreation Department regarding the FTLL programs.

Registration is open to Freehold Township residents, anyone attending school in Freehold Township, and Freehold Boro residents who are born between the following dates - NO exceptions:
Baseball: 9/1/2006 & 8/31/2018. BB Age Determination Date for ALL players is 8/31/23.
Softball: 1/1/2006 & 12/31/2018. SB Age Determination Date for ALL players is 12/31/21.

Players may only register for ONE Baseball or Softball division.

Fees are as follows:

Baseball: Rookies/T-Ball $75; Pioneers $75;  Minors $100;   Intermediate $150; Seniors $150

Softball: Rookies $75;   Pioneers $75;   Minors $100; Majors $150; Seniors $150

* Registrations after 8/15/22 are subject to a $25 late fee *

**Families registering 3 or more children in baseball and/or softball (any combination) will receive a $25 discount off of the total registration fees (e.g. 3 x $80 = $240 - $25 = $215).
***NO refunds will be given after team assignments are made unless accompanied by a medical note. Refunds prior to this are subject to a $25 handling fee.


MANAGERS NEEDED! Please volunteer to manage or coach a team using our FTLL online registration system.
If you are selected as a manager or coach you will be required to comply with FTLL coaching requirements as specified on the FTLL website (http://www.ftll.org).

PLEASE NOTE: the Fall 2022 Season will be divided into age groups as follows, based on the Child's Little League age for 2023.
NOTE: Age groupings may be changed based on this year’s registration enrollment.

Description of Division for Spring Play

Rookies / T-Ball (Baseball: 5-6 year olds, Softball 4-6 year olds):

Baseball:
9/1/2016-8/31/2018

Softball:
1/1/2016-12/31/2018

The Rookies / T-Ball division will be an 8 week program, beginning in early September and ending in late October. There will be a one hour practice most weeks on a weeknight, and a one hour game each week on Saturday. FTLL follows the Official Little League T-Ball plan, which provides both a fun and structured baseball environment for all involved !

Pioneers (Baseball and Softball: 7-8 year olds; 6 year olds who have played 2 seasons in Rookies / T-Ball also eligible):

Baseball:
9/1/2014-8/31/2017

Softball:
1/1/2014-12/31/2015

The Pioneers division will be an 8 week program, beginning in early September and ending in late October. There will be a practice most weeks on a weeknight (at coaches’ discretion), and a game each week on Saturday afternoon. For the first month the Pioneers will be coach pitch, and will transition to a combination of coach and player pitch. The goal of this level is to help players develop the proper fundamentals at an early age so that they may gain more enjoyment as they play and progress in later years.

Note: the softball division may include a few inter league games against other local towns, only as required based on the number of teams we have within FTLL.



Minors AA (Baseball: 9 year olds; 8 year olds who have played 2 seasons in Pioneers also eligible):

Baseball:
9/1/2013-8/31/2015

The Minors AA division will be an 8 week program, beginning in early September and ending in late October. This age group will play regular games with players pitching and baseball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc). There will be a practice most weeks on a weeknight (at coaches’ discretion), and a game each week on Saturday afternoon.

Minors AAA (Baseball: 10-11 year olds):

Baseball:
9/1/2011-8/31/2013

The Minors AAA division will be an 8 week program, beginning in early September and ending in late October. This age group will play regular games with players pitching and baseball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc). There will be a practice most weeks on a weeknight (at coaches' discretion), and a game each week on Saturday afternoon.

NOTE: 11 year olds (birth date between 9/1/2011 and 8/31/2012 inclusive) are also eligible to play in the Intermediates. If you believe your 11 year old is ready to play on the 50/70 field, please send a message to [email protected] requesting your child be considered for the Intermediates; if not, it is recommended that you register your child for Minors AAA.

Also note that a limited number of 11 year olds will be drafted by the Intermediates; if you request your child play in the Intermediates and your child isn't selected then he/she will be placed in Minors AAA.



Minors Softball (9-10 year olds; 8 year olds who have played 2 seasons in Pioneers also eligible)

Softball:
1/1/2012-12/31/2013

The Minors Softball division will be an 8 week program, beginning in early September and ending in late October. This age group will play regular games with a combination of player and coach pitching and regular softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc). There will be a practice most weeks on a weeknight (at coaches’ discretion), and 1-2 games each week (Saturday morning/afternoon and a weeknight).  This division will include inter-league games against other towns

Majors (Softball: 11-12 year olds)

Softball Only:
1/1/2010-12/31/2011

The Majors Softball division will be an 8 week program, beginning in early September and ending in late October. This age group will play regular games with players pitching and softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc). There will be a practice most weeks on a weeknight (at coaches’ discretion), and 1-2 games each week (Saturday morning/afternoon and a weeknight).  This division will include inter-league games against other towns

Intermediates (Baseball: 12-13 year olds):

Baseball:
9/1/2009-8/31/2011

Games are played on the 70' diamond. This is a great introduction for those players who are moving up from the smaller field but are not ready to move to the regulation (Seniors / 90’) field.

The Intermediate division will play its regularly scheduled games on WEEKNIGHTS ONLY (Monday – Thursday), at 7:30 PM.  Any rainouts for the Intermediate division will be made up on open weeknights at 7:30PM and Saturdays early evening (5PM).

The Intermediate division may play Inter-league games against other towns (within Monmouth County – some travel may be required).

There will be regular season games plus playoffs.

NOTE: 11 year olds (players born between 9/1/2011 and 8/31/2012 inclusive) are also eligible to play in the Intermediates. Games are played on the 90' diamond. This is a great introduction for those players who are moving up from the smaller field. Senior Majors games will be played weeknights at 7:30 PM, and on Saturday later afternoon (4PM).

The Senior division may play Inter-league games against other towns (within Monmouth County; some travel may be required).

There will be regular season games plus playoffs.

NOTE: 13 year olds are also eligible to play in the Seniors. If you believe your 13 year old is ready to play on the 60/90 field, then register him/her for the Seniors division; if not, it is recommended that you register him/her for Intermediates. Note that a limited number of 13 year olds are drafted by the Seniors; if you register your child for the Seniors and your child isn't selected then he/she will be placed in Intermediates.

Seniors (Softball: 13-16 year olds)

Softball:
1/1/2006-12/31/2009

The Seniors Softball division will be an 8 week program, beginning in early September and ending in late October. This age group will play regular games with players pitching and softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc). There will be a practice most weeks on a weeknight (at coaches' discretion), and 1-2 games each week (Saturday morning/afternoon and a weeknight).  This division will include inter-league games against other towns.



BATS
USA Baseball Bats are the only approved bats for all divisions except for Intermediate and Senior Majors.  Intermediate and Senior Majors divisions may also use BBCOR (-3) bats.

DISCOUNTS DEADLINES:
Please register early so that we will have adequate time to properly prepare for the Fall season. The season will start around September 7th, with league/team assignments finalized in late August. Any registrations made or paid for after August 15, 2022 are subject to availability and a $25 late fee per registrant - NO exceptions.

NO refunds will be given after team assignments are made unless accompanied by a medical note. Refunds prior to this are subject to a $25 handling fee.
COVID-19:  If, due to unforeseen pandemic/COVID 19 related issues the Spring, 2022 season cannot occur, the refund policy will be the same as outlined in Spring, 2020 for all registered and paid members:
1. Receive a full dollar credit of your Spring 2022 registration fee to be applied when you register for a future season (Default Decision).
2. Donate your registration fees to help us cover costs that have been incurred. As a non-profit, the league can provide a donation letter for tax purposes, if desired.
3. Receive a refund minus 15% of your league registration fee paid to cover credit card and operational fees.


Registration, payment & documentation can all be handled online.  Use your existing FTLL username if you are a returning member, otherwise you can create a username, to registerIf you cannot remember your password, then follow the online instructions on the FTLL site. Do NOT create a new userid for returning players.
