Fall Baseball and Softball Registration Now Open!

Registration is open to Freehold Township residents, anyone attending school in Freehold Township, or Freehold Boro residents - who are born between the following dates - NO exceptions:
Baseball: 9/1/2003 & 8/31/2015. BB age Determination Date for ALL players is 8/31/20.
Softball: 1/1/2003 & 12/31/2015. SB Age Determination Date for ALL players is 12/31/19.

The Fall season will be divided into the following age groups based on child's Little League age for Spring, 2020.  PLEASE NOTE:

 

  • * 6 Year olds who have completed 2 seasons of Rookies Baseball (Tee Ball) may register to play in Pioneers.
  • 12 Year olds may register for BOTH Majors and Intermediates (Baseball ONLY).
  • 13 Year olds may register for BOTH Intermediate and Seniors (Baseball ONLY).

    4-6: Rookies Fall Baseball
    Baseball: 9/1/2013-8/31/2015 | Softball:1/1/2013-12/31/2015
    This age group for Baseball & Softball Rookie / T-Ball will follow the LLB Tee-ball program with skills development & mini-games.

    6-8: Pioneers Fall Ball *
    Baseball: 9/1/2011-8/31/2013 | Softball: 1/1/2011-12/31/2012
    This age group will play regular games with a combination of coaches and players pitching, with a focus on preparing players for the move into the Pioneer division for baseball and softball that they will be eligible for in the 2020 spring season. The goal of this level is to help players develop the proper fundamentals at an early age so that they may gain more enjoyment as they play and progress in later years. The softball division may include a few inter-league games against other local towns, only as required based on the number of teams we have within FTLL.
    9-10: Minors Fall Ball
    Baseball: 9/1/2009-8/31/2011 | Softball: 1/1/2009-12/31/2010
    This age group will play regular games with children pitching and real baseball/softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc). The focus for this group will be to prepare players for the move into the Minors baseball and softball divisions for the 2020 spring season. The softball division may include a few inter-league games against other local towns, only as required based on the number of teams we have within FTLL.

    11-12: Majors Fall Baseball
    Baseball: 9/1/2007-8/31/2009
    This age group will play with Little League Majors division baseball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc.) and will focus on preparing players for the Minors and Majors divisions for the 2020 Spring season. 
    Games will be played against other Freehold Township teams as well as inter-league games against other towns, There will be regular season games plus playoffs. Some travel to other towns (within Monmouth County) to play games, mostly on Saturdays, will be required.

    11-12: Majors Fall Softball
    Softball: 1/1/2007-12/31/2008

    This age group will focus on preparing players for the Majors divisions for the 2020 Spring season. It will be an instructional division.
    If enrollment exceeds expectations we will look at options to offer games.

12-13 Intermediate Fall Baseball
Baseball: 9/1/2006-8/31/2008

Games are played on the 50/70' diamond. This is a great introduction for those players who are moving up from the smaller field but are not ready to move to the regulation (Seniors – 60/90’) field. Inter-league games against other towns - some travel to other towns (within Monmouth County) for games will be required. There will be regular season games plus playoffs.


13-16: Seniors Fall Baseball
Baseball: 9/1/2003-8/31/2007
Games are played on the 60/90' diamond. This is a great introduction for those players who are moving up from the smaller field. Inter-league games against other towns - some travel to other towns (within Monmouth County) for games will be required. There will be regular season games plus playoffs.

13-16: Seniors Fall Softball
Softball: 1/1/2003-12/31/2006
This age group will play games against other Freehold Township teams and may include inter-league games against other towns within or near Monmouth County.  Games will be played with Seniors division softball rules (balls and strikes called, stealing, etc.) and will focus on preparing players for the Seniors divisions for the 2020 Spring season.
NOTE: While this level will be competitive, this is not a travel softball program, and focus is still primarily instructional to help prepare for the 2020 season.

 

NOTE: Age groupings may be changed based on this year’s registration enrollment.

The fall baseball and softball season will run during September and October.

Games will likely be held twice per week, with games on Saturdays and a weeknight game.
Rain dates will be Fridays and Sundays.

Team standings and records will not be maintained for all the baseball divisions. More info will be provided during the season

Registration fees are as follows:


Baseball: Rookies/T-Ball $60;   Pioneers $60;   Minors $80;   Majors $115;   Intermediate:  $145 Seniors $145
Softball:
