On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the Blue Rocks faced the Riverdogs in a Double-A baseball matchup. 

The Blue Rocks were able to get runners in scoring position early because of three singles in the inning, but a beautiful throw by catcher Joseph B. helped hold the Blue Rocks scoring to just two runs in the 1st. 

After a scoreless inning by James S., the Blue Rocks got the bats going again early in the 2nd. Joseph B. was able to throw out another runner at 3rd base, but the Blue Rocks’ offense was too powerful, as the team hit three doubles in that inning alone and extended their lead to 6-0. 

James S. got the ball for the Blue Rocks, pitching 3 no-hit innings and punching out 9 batters. Matthew B. started another rally in the 3rd inning with a double that knocked in two. 

The Riverdogs were able to make a small comeback with three runs in the 4th, but the Blue Rocks pitched out of it and earned the win, 10-3.
